What happens next?
If you are suffering from non-specific symptoms and/or abnormal liver tests and concerned about your liver health you require focused assessment and specific investigations including scans e.g. fibroscan, an internal examination such as an endoscopy or colonoscopy.
These procedures will often be recommended if you have a family history of a disease such as cancer, liver disease. All of these treatments will take no longer than an hour at the most.
Although they may cause some discomfort or soreness, they are relatively straightforward and painless.
